Next year you'll be able to use a simpler form, take advantage of an expanded child credit, see your standard deduction double, and keep more of your hard earned money in your own pocket.
This is about restoring trust, and I'm encouraged by the real progress we've made to help real Eastern Washington families.
After hearing from farmers all across Eastern Washington over the past year at my Farm Bill Listening Sessions, I put your concerns into action yesterday and was successful in securing the following three priorities in the 2018 Farm Bill -
1. The protection of crop insurance
2. Increased market development and access to more markets abroad
3. And more funding for agriculture research, expanding on critical research conducted at WSU.
Our farmers are the backbone of our economy in Washington state, and I’m committed to earning their trust and delivering results.
Earlier this year my bill to make eye-directed speech technology affordable for individuals suffering from ALS - The Steve Gleason Enduring Voices Act - was signed into law.
