Technology has become an integral part of almost every aspect of life in 21st Century America. Yet today, rural areas often have less access to high-speed internet than their urban neighbors. One major obstacle to rural access to high-speed internet is substandard broadband mapping.
That’s why I’m leading in Congress to bring that mapping up to date so that we have an accurate account of coverage levels in rural areas and can move to improve the high-speed internet access in those communities. We must make sure that as technology continues to advance and reveal new wonders, our rural neighbors are not left behind.
