2016 Constitution Day

  • Sep 16, 2016

In September 1787 the United States Constitution was signed by our Founding Fathers. The Constitution is the most influential document in American history, it is our duty to ensure that it continues to be followed.

This is our Founding Fathers moment; that is why I am leading on legislation that will secure our rights, and restore the Constitutional balance of powers between the three branches of government. In recent decades the executive branch has collected more power for itself, along with Courts intent in writing the law. James Madison warned us that the Constitution is "a mere parchment barrier” — this is our Founding Fathers moment and we must stand up for the Constitution, not just on Constitution Day but everyday.
